Born in Lund (Sweden), 1965, Lives and works in Oslo and New York.
Sven Pählsson is acknowledged as one of the most important creators in electronic art today.
He uses infographic procedures, 3D animation, digital photography, web projects and installation
in his works to analyse contemporary western society through its customs, lifestyles and leisure
culture. With computer animation employed as a tool in his latest works, Påhlsson produces a personal
view on how various human habits become reduced to banality in which he analyses the myths
and miseries of American society.
Solo exhibitions have been held at the Nerman Museum of Art, Overland Park, The Museum of Contemporary Art /
Museet for samtidskunst, Oslo, La Caixa, Barcelona, Spain, The Center for Contemporary Images, Carouge, Switzerland,
and Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Israel, among others.
